Hi Maria! You made an excellent point. There seems to be a lack of focus on singles ministry in many churches. I was forced to go abroad to find support and connect with other singles. I was blessed to find some great friends online who not only where single like me, but also passionate about living a prosperous and productive single life in Christ. A great friend of mine conducts prayer phone conferences for singles from time to time. His website is http://www.savedandsingle.info He has several links there that may be of interest!

There are some great singles ministries out there, but unfortunately they may not be very accessible depending on where you live. I had that problem. I would hear about what seemed to be great conferences but they were never local.

Thanks again for the input. Let’s pray together that churches will provide more for singles. The right tools and support is crucial. The single life isn’t always an easy one. But thank God for His grace. :)

Hi! I just found your blog today and so glad I did. I loved this poll, and while all those are issues when single, I do not think it is strictly relegated to Christian singles. For me the biggest challenge is the lack of singles-oriented ministry in church. And when I saw singles-oriented I don’t mean gathering all of the single people in church for a BBQ or to “hang out”. I mean having singles-focused groups where we get guidance and tools from our churches on how to be a single Christian in today’s world. Sorry, I am very passionate about this. :-)
